How do I add an ASP button to open a new word document?

I would like to add a button to my webpage to open a new word document with certain formatted text (which the user entered in text boxes in my website). This document should be opened on the client machine! It would be preferable if the code was some kind of javascript function or even in ASP and runs client-side.
